Congreso New Vistas (Certified Medical Assistant)
PROGRAM DISCRIPTION:
Congreso New Vistas program is in partnership with American Training Center, to provide interest participants with the knowledge and skills to be a certified medical assistant. This program will prepare you to work as a Certified Medical Assistant in a physician’s office, hospital, outpatient clinic, lab, or insurance company. It was designed to provide the skills necessary to perform as a clinical medical assistant and increase marketability by providing administrative competencies.
This busy professional can go from the front office, answering the phone and completing insurance forms, to assisting the doctor by performing clinical tasks such as taking vitals, drawing blood, or performing an EKG. This intensive 200-hour course will be taught through a combination of classroom/lectures and hands on laboratory skills covering topics such as medical office/patient care, phlebotomy, EKG, anatomy and physiology, law and ethics, safety/infection control, healthcare systems, administrative, and billing/coding.

- PRE-REQUISITIES: High School Diploma/ GED/ interest in medical field
- TRAINING SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday / 9:30am-2:30pm
- SKILLS LEARNED: Medical terminology, clinical administration, vital signs, Venipuncture, blood draws, HIPAA, BSL/CPR, Phlebotomy, Law and Ethics, EKG.
- Industry-Recognized Credential: Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (ACCREDITED BY American Medical Certification Association- AMCA)
