Philadelphia Works, Inc. contracts local service providers to operate the four PA CareerLink® Centers and related services.
Together, we provide a network of opportunities to strengthen skills, increase access, and develop career pathways that create economic opportunities for all.
Why should I go to a PA CareerLink® center?
Each of the four PA CareerLink® Centers and satellite locations are staffed with local professionals who are equipped to help you on your unique career path. Our Staff can guide you through the process of accessing any support or benefits you may be eligible for, tailoring your resume to boost the skills and keywords employers are looking for, knowing what to say at a job interview, and connecting you with job openings that would be a good fit for you.

I run a business, how can PA CareerLink® help me?
The PA CareerLink® system (funded and managed by Philadelphia Works, Inc.) has resources to effectively hire, train, and retain a skilled workforce in Philadelphia. Each year, approximately 1,350 businesses use our no-cost services to find high-quality talent.
Coming into a PA CareerLink® Center will help you navigate all of the resources within our network.
Additionally, we can help you get involved in an Industry Partnership that brings together employers and job training providers from a single industry sector to collaborate on improving the industry’s competitiveness and address common workforce needs.
We can help you:
- Post job openings, attend a Hiring Event, or use our recruitment services to find the talent you need to be competitive.
- Train a skilled workforce through on-the-job training, apprenticeships, or training subsidies.
- Retain a talented workforce with layoff aversion, on-the-job training, or directing employees to additional benefits and supports such as literacy and computer skills training.
- Join an Industry Partnership to collaborate on improving your industry’s competitiveness and address common workforce needs.

If you are looking for a job and are over the age of 55, PA CareerLink® Centers have programs designed for your level of experience and seniority.
Individuals With Disabilities
Staff can assist individuals with disabilities including resources for the hearing and visually impaired, with intellectual and physical disabilities, and can provide enrollment support for OVR registration.
Finding work with a criminal background
Finding a job or building a career with a criminal record can be challenging. Reentry programs, Fair Chance Hiring initiatives, and the Ban the Box program in Philadelphia can help.
Youth and Young Adults
Youth Navigators in PA CareerLink® Philadelphia centers connect youth and young adults to resources, employment, training and apprenticeship opportunities, and career exposure programs like WorkReady.

If you receive notice from your company about a layoff, PA CareerLink® offers specialized services to aid in the transition.
