NuPaths: Network Technician

Program Description:

Train to become a Network Technician in 26 weeks.  In a world dependent on communication via computer networks, Network Technicians play a vital role. They install, maintain and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) and data communication equipment. The Network Technician’s job also includes testing and configuring operating systems, repairing hardware, performing preventive maintenance and applying security measures to ensure that customer needs are met. As communication and collaboration across networks continues to grow, companies rely on network technicians to support the critical business applications that keep their organizations running effectively.

Candidates should have an interest and aptitude for technology networking, hardware and cyber security.

Program Length: 26 weeks
Program Dates: October 10, 2022 – April 29, 2023
Pre-requisites: Interest and aptitude for technology networking, hardware and cyber security; high school diploma or GED.
Training Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Skills Learned: Windows Server, Network management, DNS, TCP/IP, Network protocols and topologies, Active Directory, System recovery, Anti-malware products, Firewalls, Wireless router/switch, External storage, Mobile devices, Network ports, Access points, Virtualization, Windows system center
Industry-Recognized Credentials: Certificate of Completion from Harrisburg University of Science & Technology and Stackable Credentials: CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Technology Associate: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft Technology Associate: Security Fundamentals
