Energy Coordinating Agency: HVAC Training Program

The 600-hour 22-week HVAC Installer + Maintenance Program will prepare the next generation of skilled and credentialed HVAC workers. The curriculum was developed by Johnson Control Institute (JCI) for ECA, alongside a state-of-the-art lab for practical training, installed by JCI at the ECA Knight Job Training Center. Johnson Controls is the world’s largest manufacturer of residential and commercial HVAC equipment and a leader in smart energy solutions in buildings. This program uses a combination of classroom theory and discussion, lab demonstration, hands-on-exercises, and fieldwork to prepare students for their future careers. Our curriculum is tailored to support adult career seekers, including workers who are single parents, justice-impacted, or lack a high school diploma, to gain measurable skills and attain nationally recognized credentials.
