Program Description:
Welding Training
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as welders and flame cutters, welder assemblers, welder helpers, combination welders, arc cutters, arc welders, combination welders, production line welders, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.
Students will conclude the program with the skills to take the American Welding Society skills competency certification. An AWS inspector will test and certify students at the conclusion of the program. Students who successfully pass the certification will receive the 3G SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) (Stick Welding) certification from the American Welding Society. This is a nationally recognized industry certification.

- Training Schedule: Monday through Thursday; 4:00pm-9:00pm
- Skills Learned: Students will learn about safety, the core components of welding fundamentals and conclude with learning Shield Metal ARC Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding. Students will build upon their foundational knowledge by learning other welding modes such as, Manual Oxy-fuel Gas Cutting, Welding, Carbon ARC Cutting, Brazing and Soldering.
